Cornwall and Isles of Scilly People Hub

Cornwall Development Company is recruiting for a further new and exciting service. The People Hub will provide an important focal point for eligible residents across the county, combining direct employment and skills support through a dedicated team based across the county, as well as providing a critical referral service to all other employment and skills provision across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Our goal is to support over 1,600 individuals with employment and skills support.

Part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), with investment from Cornwall Council and using specialist delivery partners, the project will either connect eligible residents directly to our network of providers, or deliver support based on Information Advice and Guidance principles to help remove barriers to employment. 

As the project lead, Cornwall Development Company is recruiting a team to deliver a quality and compliant service that achieves the programme’s targets.

Compliance Manager           

Starting £31,800

37 hours per week

Fixed-term to 31 December 2023

Based in Pool, Redruth

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to successfully ensure that the processes and delivery of the project is compliant with the contractual obligations to both the Managing Authority and the European Social Fund.

The post-holder will:

  • Design and implement compliant systems and procedures that will form the basis of all aspects of delivery, ensuring that this is communicated and enforced with the project supply chain of delivery partners.
  • Ensure the compliant handling and processing of eligible participant data in line with contractual, legal and corporate obligations and requirements.
  • Draw up and implement an effective system of monitoring and internal audit checks on partners’ delivery to ensure standards are met.
  • Develop and preserve good working relationships throughout the supply chain delivery partners, promoting an atmosphere and culture of common goals, confidentiality and trust.

Partnership Manager           

Starting £31,800

Based in Pool, Redruth

We are seeking an experienced Partnership Manager to lead the co-ordination of the supply chain of delivery partners at a strategic level and ensure that interaction and referrals of participants take place in a smooth and efficient manner to maximise the performance of the contract.

The post-holder will:

  • Drive the activity of the contract in relation to promotion of the project and attracting participant sign ups, often in some of the most isolated and rural areas of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
  • Ensure that the supply chain of delivery partners work closely together in order to share good practice and co-ordinate promotional activity, including consented case studies.
  • Implement an effective strategy for engaging with employers in order to maximise job opportunities for participants

Lizard Pathways

As a result of critical work undertaken in supporting individuals with employment support, Cornwall Development Company is recruiting for the role of Change Coach within the successful Lizard Pathways team.

As well as the existing Work Routes and Positive People programmes, Lizard Pathways will soon be delivering on an exciting new ESF initiative called Health Works for Cornwall.

Lizard Pathways works to support individuals’ progression into sustainable employment for the economic wellbeing of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and thanks to investment from the European Social Fund (ESF) and Cornwall Council this work is expanding.

We are recruiting Change Coaches that will join our team to provide direct Information Advice and Guidance support; identifying client goals and helping to overcome barriers to employment or training.

Lizard Pathways Change Coaches

Starting salary £24,484 per annum

37 hours per week

Based Pool, Redruth

Fixed-term contract to June 2023

Our Change Coaches deliver employment and skills support to engage the ‘hardest to reach’ disadvantaged individuals throughout Cornwall, who will have multiple barriers to engagement.  The post holder will adopt outreach and innovative methods to support them.

The postholders also:

  • coordinate individualised packages of support to assist clients in order for them to progress towards and take up sustained employment
  • support clients into employment with monitoring and assistance to help with retention of employment
  • deliver quality motivational, confidence building, employability and vocational skills training to groups of participants/trainees
  • identify health related barriers and other factors affecting progressions and use skills and programme resources to overcome them
  • engage and work with employers to maximise job opportunities
  • work closely with other related funding initiatives aimed at supporting individuals into work or attaining higher skills (e.g. ESF Lottery)
