Health Works for Cornwall

Cornwall Development Company is recruiting for the exciting new Health Works for Cornwall employment support programme, which aims to support 5,500 workless individuals across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly with health-related barriers to gaining employment.

Part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), with investment from Cornwall Council and using a supply chain of delivery partners, the project will deliver training and support based on Information Advice and Guidance principles to help remove these barriers and to progress individuals into work.

Cornwall Development Company is recruiting a contract management team to deliver a quality and compliant service that achieves the programme’s targets and we are currently seeking both a Claims & Audit Services Co-ordinator and an Administrator to play vital roles within the team.

Claims & Audit Services Co-ordinator

Starting £24,484

37 hours per week

Fixed-term to 31 December 2023

Based in Pool, Redruth

We are seeking an experienced Claims and Audit Services Co-ordinator to liaise with multiple delivery partners, ensuring the provision of an effective project grant-claiming function for the Health Works for Cornwall project within Cornwall Development Company.

The successful candidate will ensure the project’s financial systems are compliant with the contractual obligations to both the Managing Authority and the European Social Fund. Responsibilities will also include:

  • Liaising with our deliver partners to ensure that ESF claim information is co-ordinated, disseminated, and completed to the required standard on a monthly / quarterly basis and within grant funding timescales
  • The timely and compliant review, collation and submission of the Health Works for Cornwall project quarterly claims and supporting information
  • Assisting with collation of information for audits or project meetings and representing Cornwall Development Company at those meetings to promote high standards of performance.

Health Works Administrator

We are seeking an excellent project administrator to assist CDC’s Health Works contract team in effective management and delivery of the ESF project. The Administrator will provide first class administrative, secretarial and communications support to the team and support the management of an extensive supply chain of delivery partners, with responsibilities that include:

  • The development and delivery of administrative systems that meet the Health Works contract needs and enhance efficiency.
  • Timely and high-quality administration of monitoring and reporting processes in support of the Health Works contract team.
  • Development and maintenance of excellent professional relationships with a supply chain of delivery partners and other stakeholders.

Cornwall and Isles of Scilly People Hub

Cornwall Development Company is recruiting for a further new and exciting service. The People Hub will provide an important focal point for eligible residents across the county, combining direct employment and skills support through a dedicated team based across the county, as well as providing a critical referral service to all other employment and skills provision across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Our goal is to support over 1,600 individuals with employment and skills support.

Part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), with investment from Cornwall Council and using specialist delivery partners, the project will either connect eligible residents directly to our network of providers, or deliver support based on Information Advice and Guidance principles to help remove barriers to employment.

Compliance Officer

Starting £27,980

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to successfully ensure that the processes and delivery of the project is compliant with the contractual obligations to both the Managing Authority and the European Social Fund.

The post-holder will:

  • Design and implement compliant systems and procedures that will form the basis of all aspects of delivery, ensuring that this is communicated and enforced with the project supply chain of delivery partners.
  • Draw up and implement an effective system of monitoring and internal audit checks on partners’ delivery to ensure standards are met.
  • Develop and preserve good working relationships throughout the supply chain delivery partners, promoting an atmosphere and culture of common goals, confidentiality and trust.
