Cornwall Trade & Investment: Cultivator Creative Export Programme

CDC are a delivery partner supporting the Cultivator Creative Export programme’s key objective – to increase the international competitiveness of creative sector businesses and to help develop the knowledge base needed to increase export-readiness through workshops, advice/mentoring and signposting to other specific business support services.

The Cultivator Creative Export programme is a project funded by HM Government, European Regional Development Fund, Arts Council England and Cornwall Council.

Trade & Investment Manager (Cultivator Creative Export programme)

Based in Pool, Redruth

Starting £40,693 per annum

37 hours per week

Fixed term to 30 September 2022

We’re looking for a confident and outgoing Trade & Investment Manager for Creative Kernow’s Cultivator Creative Export programme, which aims to drive increased export trade for creative sector businesses in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly.

The successful applicant will design and plan creative export development activity and set up the delivery of project activity, always ensuring that there is a collaborative, innovative and qualitative approach to meeting and exceeding contractual outputs and targets.

As the Trade & Investment Manager for the Cultivator Creative Export programme you’ll work closely with creative sector businesses across Cornwall & the Isles to assist them with increasing their national and international trade opportunities.

You will play a vital role in achieving project objectives, acting as the key point of contact for all export-related queries received from creative businesses and providing excellent client management services.

You will deliver a series of regular creative export workshops throughout the project. Working with allocated creative companies you will help develop and implement their international and export strategies through bespoke workshops that are followed-up by signposting to other available support where appropriate. The support offered will inclue in-depth reports, business cases, action plans and other high-quality narrative materials.

You will maintain and support the project’s position and credibility in the marketplace and ensure that project benefits are communicated and understood by all stakeholders.

Where appropriate you will identify and refer creative companies to the Cultivator Creative Export programme and work with both new and experienced creative sector exporters to develop new markets, making use of available development packages.

Working with the Project Administrator, you will have responsibility for achieving and reporting programme outputs, results and impact targets agreed with the Project Manager.

A confident communicator, you’ll also represent Cornwall’s creative sector at exhibitions, seminars and conferences. Working with the wider team and other sector-specific projects, you’ll play a key role in coordinating participation of creative sector businesses at exhibitions and events – both in the UK and overseas.

Project Administrator (Cultivator Creative Export programme)

Based in Pool, Redruth

Starting £9,793 per annum (pro rata £24,484)

14.8 hours per week (0.4FTE)

Fixed term to 30 September 2022

The Project Administrator will support the Trade and Investment Manager through the delivery of a comprehensive and effective administrative function that contributes to the successful and professional delivery of the Cultivator Creative Export programme.

The administrator will be an initial point of contact, responding to enquiries from existing and potential clients, local business support organisations, and private sector intermediaries.
